It has been two years since my three sons moved from a prestigious local school to be part of the Beacon Hill School family. We are proud of our teammates for their effort in the tournament. We had tight games with both lucky and unlucky moments.
In the boys' tournament, we started against FIS, playing well but losing due to a counterattack. In the match against RCHK, we lost to a long shot. Mattheo scored a fantastic goal in the tie against CIS, and we secured third place in our last group match against Peak School with two goals from Colton. Advancing to the knockout stage, we drew with Quarry Bay School and then won in a 3v3 shootout. Unfortunately, in the third-place final against GSIS, we lost and finished in fourth place.
In the girls' tournament, we showcased our significant improvement since our first training. In our first match against Sha Tin Junior School, we lost 1-0. The second match against Australian International School ended in a 2-0 loss. Our third game against Quarry Bay School was intense, but we lost 1-0 due to a moment of being caught off guard. In our last game against French International School, we scored our first goal but ultimately lost 2-1.

Our Junior Choir, Senior Choir, Year 5 and Year 6 Dance Clubs, and the Strings Ensemble came together, joined by BHS staff members, to sing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas." We also took a moment to acknowledge those affected by the Tai Po fire tragedy, emphasising the importance of gratitude and community during challenging times. We are proud of our teammates for their effort in the tournament. We had tight games with both lucky and unlucky moments.
In the boys' tournament, we started against FIS, playing well but losing due to a counterattack. In the match against RCHK, we lost to a long shot. Mattheo scored a fantastic goal in the tie against CIS, and we secured third place in our last group match against Peak School with two goals from Colton. Advancing to the knockout stage, we drew with Quarry Bay School and then won in a 3v3 shootout. Unfortunately, in the third-place final against GSIS, we lost and finished in fourth place.
In the girls' tournament, we showcased our significant improvement since our first training. In our first match against Sha Tin Junior School, we lost 1-0. The second match against Australian International School ended in a 2-0 loss. Our third game against Quarry Bay School was intense, but we lost 1-0 due to a moment of being caught off guard. In our last game against French International School, we scored our first goal but ultimately lost 2-1.
