Mandarin
The Chinese programme at Beacon Hill School is designed to develop and improve students' ability to communicate in Mandarin. It also encourages our students to have a deeper understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture through the language-learning process.
Students in Year One and Year Two have three 45-minute language lessons and one 45-minute cultural lesson per week. Students in Year Three to Year Six have five 45-minute language lessons per week.
While Year One students learn Mandarin within their own class units, students from Year Two to Year Six have Mandarin lessons in pathways (PW1, PW2, PW3) based on their language proficiency and linguistic background.
